Scott SantiChairman and Chief Executive Officer
Scott Santi is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Illinois Tool Works Inc. Mr. Santi joined ITW in 1983 and has spent his entire career with the company. He was elected Executive Vice President in 2004 and named Vice Chairman in 2008. He became the Company’s Chief Executive Officer in November of 2012 and was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2015.
Mr. Santi graduated from the University of Illinois in 1983 with a B.S. degree in Accounting and received a Masters in Business Administration from the JL Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University in 1992. Mr. Santi is a member of the Board of Directors of W.W. Grainger (NYSE: GWW), the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, the Economic Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Commercial Club of Chicago, Junior Achievement of Chicago and Big Shoulders Fund. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University, the Ravinia Festival Association, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Rush University Medical Center. Katie LawlerSenior VP, Chief HR Officer
Katie Lawler joined ITW in 2014 and previously served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources for GATX Corporation. Prior to joining GATX, she held a wide range of positions in operations, human resources and law with Tribune Media (formerly Tribune Company).
Ms. Lawler began her professional career as an attorney in private practice handling labor and employment matters. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She currently serves on the Area Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Chicago. From 2009-2013, Katie served on the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago and was Board Chair from 2012-2013. Listen to Katie at the Intern Kick Off |
